Hi Baby Girl!
In a couple of days is your first Thanksgiving. Sadly, I won't get to share it with you because I have to work. It kills me that I don't get to be there with you! You'll be with your Dad, Grandparents, and Aunt Shareissa. With your first holiday season upon us, it makes me reflect on the things that I find important and worthy of my time. I hope that by next year I will be working entirely from home so that I never have to miss another holiday with you. While I know that you aren't going to remember, I want to! Also I know that I am not the only person who has to work on a holiday but that doesn't make it easier or make me okay with it. So any way just a few quick thoughts I wanted to put out.

the begining

hello little violet…

today you are 9 months old and I begin a blog dedicated to you. i want you to see our lives in as many layers as i dare to can show you. first a little bit about who you are:

hilarious! you always make the silliest little faces and cutest little noises, that can only have been made up by that clever little mind of yours, because i just can’t imagine where you’ve ever seen them

strong! you started walking at eight and a half months, you started standing by yourself at five and a half months, and since you were born everyone remarks on that firm grip you have

sweet! you love animals, and are very kind and gentle with the kitties and dogs in our lives

beautiful! you have the most beautiful clear blue eyes, soft golden hair, and rosy cheeks

this small descriptions of you truly don’t do you justice. they are just small words. they in no way describe how much i love you and full and complete you make me. i look forward to the rest of my life knowing and loving you!

ps: these pics are from when you where about five and a half months
